Pat Barkman

Pat wants to be known for her love for her Lord, Jesus Christ, and for being an encourager to women in their walk with the Lord.   She has been happily married to her husband, Ron, for 54 years; and she feels so blessed to be Mom to two children (Kim and Ron), and four grandchildren (Taylor, Meg, Jocelyn, and Trey).

She has been a member at Bethlehem United Methodist Church for thirty years, where she serves as Lay Leader and Administrative Board Chairman.    She has been a member for thirty years of a national and international bible study called Community Bible Study, where she was trained and served as Assistant Teaching Director; and then was called to lead as Teaching Director for the  West Chester study.   Pat has also been involved and has a heart to help others through many mission’s trips with Samaritans Purse, Umcor (United Methodist Committee on Relief) and other local ministries.

Over the years she has been involved in the business world through working at Scott Paper Company, selling real estate in the Chester County area and has had her own home building company.

She has enjoyed owning and riding horses; and now stays active through golfing, biking, working out at the gym and loves attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Pat has a story to share about God’s amazing love and faithfulness through some of life’s most challenging difficulties.    Through her story, it is her desire to touch the hearts of people who are hurting and who need to hear the encouraging message about how their Heavenly Father’s amazing love can change and make a difference in their lives.
